T-Shirt Specifications
T-Shirts are white, 100% cotton Hanes® Beefy-T's.™ They come in a variety of sizes from kids small to quadruple-extra (4X) large.
T-Shirt Picture Specifications
Images must be GIF or JPG's(If you save using JPG format, try using the lowest compression setting possible).
Front: You can choose to have a picture centered on the front of the t-shirt OR to have a picture on the breast pocket. Centered pictures can be 8x10 or 10x8 inches in size. (But not 10x10). Pictures on the pocket area can be up to 6x6 inches.
Back: You can choose to have a picture centered on the back of the t-shirt OR to have a picture on the shoulders area. Centered pictures can be 8x10 or 10x8, just like the front of the shirt. Pictures along the shoulder area (great for a URL) can be 10 inches wide by 4 inches tall.
Resolution: We recommend 150 DPI for T-Shirts. 100 DPI is the minimum DPI.
Size Examples:
150 DPI 8x10: 1200 pixels by 1500 pixels.
150 DPI 6x6: 900 pixels by 900 pixels.
150 DPI 4x10: 600 pixels by 1500 pixels.
General Picture Help:
When creating pictures, it's important to keep a few things in mind:
Pictures that look good on the screen can still look "chunky" when printed. A good test is to print your designs on a laser printer. If it looks "jaggy" scaled to the size you want it - it will look jaggy when we print it too. JPG's are best for photos and pictures with lots of colors and smooth color transitions. JPG is terrible for text, straight-lines, and solid colors. JPG has a user controllable "compression" setting also. We recommend setting compression as low as possible (larger file, better quality). GIF's are best for text and pictures with straight lines and solid colors. GIF's reduce the colors in photos which might result in distorted images for photos.
