ominique Swain plays the game of seduction and death.
The actress, known as Adrian Lyne's Lolita is starring with Henry Thomas, known as a little boy from "E.T.", in the movie directed by Gustavo Lipsztein, "Dead in the Water." Director Gustavo Lipsztein, 28 years old, has finally made his dream see the light. He is directing his first motion picture, "Dead in the Water", in Brazil. Dominique Swain and Henry Thomas are two American actors that got here with help of the producer Elisa Tolomelli, to star in the movie with a Brazilian director, and a Brazilian film crew. There are rumors about this film. Lipsztein said, that the movie is pretty much like the Roman Polanski's first movie. Isn't easy to get on the movie set? First of all, you have to take a boat trip for half an hour to the ocean where it gets quite shaky. This is one of the challenges of filming. Another angle of filming is from a helicopter. In the script, the sky has to be full of clouds, but on the days they had to shoot, the sky was clear as glass. One question is popular when somebody asks Gustavo Lipsztein about the movie: "With the title in English and American actors (they don't speak Portuguese in the movie) is it still a Brazilian movie?" His answer is "Yes. No doubt. It's my script, I am directing, and I'm Brazilian, as well as the whole film crew. The movie is totally Brazilian". Dominique Swain is Glória, Henry Thomas is Jeff and Scott Bairstow (from A Party of Five) plays Danny. Starring circle rounds up with one Brazilian actor, Sebastian DeVicenti who plays Carlos. Dead in the Water, is a movie about three Americans that is on a holiday trip in the city of Angra dos Reis. Boat, Girls, Boys, Relationships, Ocean, Adventure, and Death... this is "Dead in the Water." It will be ready for its release in 2001, and Lipsztein says, "The movie has a lot of surprises."
